One of the elemental factors that parents overlook or do not pay attention when buying video game is the rating. You see, video games are rated by ESRB (The Entertainment Software Ratings Board) and they serve as a to one's liking litmus test to the contents of the game. You want to make sure that you get the accepted game based on the ESRB ratings so that your kids will not get influenced and end up learing the invalid things.
EC (Early Childhood) video games are most timely for children ages 3 and older. EC games contains no materials that parents would need to worry about. E (Everyone) content are more timely for kids ages 6 and older. Expect the E games to be a little terrorizing and contains some comic mischief or crude language used. T games are timely for persons ages 13 and older. T games may contain terrorizing content and the use of mild or strong language. M (mature) are only timely for persons ages 17 and older. These games can be really terrorizing, strong language and mature venereal themes. AO (Adults only) games are only timely for adults who are age 18 or above. The nature of AO games are usually extremely terrorizing and contain a lot of venereal contents.
